Creative Voice – Discover Your Unique Sound
When studying music, we often imitate the artists who inspire us. Yet one of the most fascinating moments in music is when we discover our own unique sound.
Creative Voice is a workshop in which participants explore tools from the fields of vocal technique, music theory, and psychology, drawing, among other approaches, on Estill Voice Training and Małgorzata Hutek’s original song interpretation method, “The Elements in the Voice.”
The workshop aims to develop awareness and control of one’s own voice, enabling each participant to make conscious choices about how they want to sound.
The workshop also focuses on song interpretation, improvisation, and discovering one’s voice and its possibilities. It provides a space for experimentation, moving beyond established patterns, and developing an individual musical language.
The workshop is led by Małgorzata Hutek—a singer, composer, and vocal coach who graduated in jazz vocals from the Academy of Music in Katowice. Her work combines vocal technique with bodywork, tension release, the development of vocal awareness, and the psychological aspects of communication. For many years, she has led music workshops throughout Poland, helping singers discover their natural voice, its power, and its distinctive sound.
NOEMA
We are a four-piece band made up of students and graduates of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory and College. Our music is driven by a shared love of jazz, R&B, and soul — genres that form the foundation of our musical identity.
The band consists of Eliška Štýsová (vocals), Matyáš Papp (piano), František Čepelák (bass guitar), and Sebastián Lang (drums). Our repertoire includes both well-known songs in our own arrangements and original compositions, through which we explore and develop our unique sound.
Improvisation and musical interaction on stage are essential parts of our music, keeping every performance fresh and authentic. We enjoy blending different musical influences to create music that feels personal, natural, and true to who we are.
Julie Maurová & Timofej Golef
I’m a singer and a student at the Prague Conservatory. This summer, I attended a program at Berklee College of Music, where I focused on jazz, and next year I’ll be heading there to study full-time.
I perform with various Prague-based bands, exploring different genres such as jazz, pop, and ska, as well as in a duo with a pianist.
This time, I’ll be performing alongside the outstanding pianist and HAMU student Timofey Golev.
